Welcome to Annandale Water Motorway Services.

Situated on the A74(M) in the south west of Scotland, Annandale Water combines the convenience and facilities of a Motorway Service Area with views over the picturesque Annandale Water Loch.

Close to Johnstonebridge, Dinwoodie and Newton Wamphray and halfway between Moffat and Lockerbie, Annandale Water is located in Dumfries and Galloway and is a popular stop off point for people exploring southern Scotland, or for those travelling between the north and south of the Britain.

Before the opening of the Motorway Service Area, the old A74 road was adjacent to the loch and farmland, but subsequent to it’s opening in the Easter of 1995, the lake and nature trail are now a valuable amenity for motorists walkers and nature lovers alike.

The Loch is populated in large numbers, including mute swans, geese and mallards and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency regularly monitors the water quality and other environmental factors.
